Packing list (Clothing/Equipment) for an Overnight
Trip
This is a suggested list of items:
Remember we will
be out of doors a good deal of time. Therefore pack clothing suitable both for cool mornings and
evenings and warm days. Dress in layers. Please avoid unnecessary purchases and substitute
where possible with items you already have. Leave anything valuable at home. We cannot be responsible for missing items or
items damaged by mildew, dampness or dust.
***Medications: need to be placed in plastic zip lock bag clearly labeled with scouts
name, medication name, dosage and time medication will be taken (in original container). Bag is to be given to ADULT Leader
before leaving for camp, (all medication will be distributed to scout by Adult and returned to scout after camp).NO SCOUT
IS PERMITTED TO HAVE ANY MEDICATION (PERSCRIPTION OR OVER THE COUNTER) IN HER POSSESSION
Each girl will be need to bring sleeping bag, pillow, flat or fitted sheet,
twin size (optional) to cover mattress (rolled up) OR flat sheet, blankets
& pillow (rolled up) The following items need to be packed in a book bag or small duffle bag.
Clothes:
Raincoat or
poncho
1 pair of boots or shoes (Sturdy
comfortable shoes- NO SANDALS, for hiking & climbing)
1 change of clothes to sleep in (shorts or sweats & t-shirt)
1 change of old clothes and socks (extra socks are recommended) (jeans, sweats, sweatshirt
or jacket & t-shirt). We will be outdoors most of the time, so please dress for the weather.
Other things:

Soap, towel, washcloth, toothbrush, toothpaste,deodorant, shampoo, comb or brush
Small plastic bag (trash bag) to put wet or dirty clothes in
Water bottle to carry
Bandana or hat
Sit-upon or football game cushion (optional)
Sunscreen, Insect repellent, non-aerosol (optional)
Mess kit or plastic dish, cup,
knife, fork & spoon
Dunk bag (nylon net bag to hold
mess kit for washing & drying)
Swim suit and towel in Summer
Warm coat, hat, gloves and boot in Winter
Please Do Not Take:
Snacks (attracts small critters), radios, electronics (cell phones, gameboys,
CD players) perfumes, makeup, things of value and money.
