Xavier Women's Basketball Game
March 2, 2003
We would like to thank Mike Wallner (Cintas), Susan Osborn &
Laura Ford-Harris (Great Rivers Girl Scout Council) for providing this opportunity for the girls. It was a great game and
the post game crermony to honor the senior basketball players Reetta Piipari and Amy Waugh was especially moving. Several
girls said "That could be one of us down on the court one day!"

For the third year in a row, Cintas Corporation will host local area youth groups in the Team Spirit section
at Xavier Universitys state-of-the-art Cintas Center. While the Team Spirit Program gives local kids a chance to see big time
basketball at a major university, the Team Spirit message is universal said Chuck Helmes, National Marketing Manager for Cintas.
Coaches, athletes, parents, teachers everyone in the community has the ability to inspire kids. This basketball season, Cintas
will host 25 children from greater Cincinnati youth organizations at each home game. Center court seats, snacks, and
commemorative T-shirts will be provided. In addition, all the kids will be able to step onto a real college court while being
recognized during the first timeout of the second half at each game.Cintas has also added a scholarship opportunity to the
program this year. The Shoot for the Spirit scholarship will take place at five games this season, giving one lucky youngster
the chance to win a $1,000 savings bond at each game.
