Welcome
A web site is a great way to keep members informed, and attract a broader
audience by introducing ourselves to the community. We'll use this site to inform people about our service unit, share ideas,
and organize events and activities. We will use the Bulletin Board page to post the latest information, general announcements, member news and recent and upcoming events.
Girl Scouts of the USA is the world's pre-eminent organization dedicated
solely to girls where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real
world. In partnership with committed adult volunteers, Girl Scouts cultivate their full individual potential. The qualities
they develop in Girl Scouting leadership, values, social conscience, and conviction about their own self-worth serve them
all their lives. Organization Background
To help girls grow up to be caring,
competent, confident women.
Girl Scouting is a values-based organization,
not a religious one. The Girl Scout Promise and Law are its guiding principles.
On my honor,
I will try: To serve God and my country, To help people
at all times, And to live by the Girl Scout Law.
The word "God" can be interpreted in a number
of ways, depending on one's spiritual beliefs. When reciting the Girl Scout Promise, it is okay to replace the word "God"
with whatever word your spiritual beliefs dictate.
I will do my best to be honest and fair,
friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible
for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better
place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout.
